The apartment is located in Stržišče, a tiny and remote settlement that feels like stepping back into nature. Even though it’s peaceful and secluded, you’re still close to the most beautiful Slovenian regions—Bohinj on one side and the Soča Valley on the other. With a car you can reach both within an hour, or you can take the motorail from Podbrdo, which brings you to Bohinj in just 30 minutes.

Stržišče is a remote mountain village above Podbrdo, known for its peaceful atmosphere, natural beauty and traditional Alpine charm. It’s the perfect base for:

• Bohinj (1 hour by car or 30 min by motorail)
• Soča Valley (1 hour by car)
• hiking and biking trails in the Baška grapa region
• swimming in rivers and lakes
• scenic drives through the Julian Alps

The valley around Podbrdo is home to forests, waterfalls, old railway viaducts and untouched landscapes. From here, you can reach the magical Baška grapa, the Sorica–Soriška planina area, and beautiful viewpoints over the Julian Alps.

Despite being remote, essential shops and restaurants are reachable in Podbrdo or nearby towns.

Your hosts, Tjaša and Žan, are a young couple guided by creativity, nature and the wish to bring new life into this home. The apartment is part of a family house once owned by Tjaša’s grandparents, Olga and Ludvik, whose warmth and spirit inspired the renovation.

They care deeply about guest experience and are always happy to help with tips, information and local recommendations. At the same time, they give guests complete privacy and the space to enjoy the quiet, magical setting of Stržišče.
